This is my favorite pen.  I have to get them special ordered from our office supply company.  I am very particular about who gets to use them and always make sure I get them back.  Recently our Ministry Assistant/Secretary at church took one out of my box and really enjoyed using it.  I graciously allowed her to keep it.  The next day I received this email.

Sadly, I was gifted with a wonderful pen yesterday and not 24 hours later it has been removed from my desk.

I have no personal space.

Thank you for the 5 hours of writing pleasure.

I enjoy coffee in all its forms.  Here is someone who takes their espresso seriously.  After watching this video, make sure you jump to Vimeo and watch how to make syphon coffee.  I have never seen this way to make coffee and now want to try it.

on my to-do list:  NABNW Multiplication Team interview.  Spiritual Retreat day.  Five Dollar Training in Portland.  Chili Bowl judging.  All Church Members Meeting.

procrastinating about:  I am making sure I am getting things finished on time as February is going to be a short month.  It will be shorter than normal as we will be taking a week of vacation.

books I’m reading:  I am now on the third book of Ranger’s Apprentice.  I plan on finishing Primal this week and then Nichole and I are going to read a book about parenting.

music I’m listening to:  Ben Harper and the Relentless 7, White Lies for Dark Times.

anecdote of the week:  On Saturday night we had a surprise retirement party for the Ministry Assistant/Secretary of Christ Community.  Cindy Junkert has worked at the church for 21 years.  It was a monumental feat that we were able to surprise her.  She was presented with a gift and then many people shared stories, thanks and well wishes with her.  Of course there was food.  I know that Christ Community will not be the same now that she is no longer working.

I admit I have my eccentricities, but this one now has scientific proof.  I always wash new clothes before I wear them.  Good Morning America recently did a study and found some interesting results.  If you have a weak stomach, please don’t read the article, but do start washing your new clothes before you wear them.
