blogs I read – crap at my parents house
I discovered this one during my time at the hospital with my new daughter. You don’t so much read it as look at the pictures and laugh. I know in the title of this blog is a word I don’t say in my house or at youth group, but this blog is too funny not to share and the newest post as of me writing this is a picture with a soccer-playing Jesus.

I was planning on having something crossed off of my bucket list on June 20. However, Bono hurt his back in practicing for the tour and so the U2 concert has been rescheduled to next summer. Here is a little video posted yesterday of my favorite band sharing their thoughts about the comeback.
Week in Review
highlights: Graduating Senior Trip to Seattle which included M’s game, geocaching and “playing” at the EMP. Lance, Katie and the girls visiting. Leading worship. Lily at the Little Gym.
lowlights: nobody showing up Jesus in July. Losing the one out three softball games I was able to attend.
on my to-do list: be at the birth of my second child. Get everything done on my to-do list before the aforementioned second child comes.
books I’m reading: lately I have only have had time to read the Bible.
music I’m listening to: Brendan Benson Pandora channel
anecdote of the week: Lily went to the Little Gym last week for four days. The theme was Pirates and all the activities were sprinkled with pirate seasoning. She had a great time and it must have had an impression on her as one night last week she blocked her door as Nichole and I were trying to get into the room and said in her best pirate voice, “Aargh mateys, you can’t get into the room without a password.”
Week in Review (not really)
The regular Week in Review posts will resume next Tuesday morning. I want to share something new we are doing in the youth ministry at CCBC for the month of July. We will be working through 31 Days with Jesus and then every Tuesday night and Friday morning be gathering virtually on tokbox to discuss what we have been learning. I am excited to add this new element to the youth ministry options.

One of our favorite activities around here is geocaching. We are sitting at a milestone in our geocaching career, and are one away from logging 200 finds. In this blog post, entitled That’s a Geocache?, the lackeys show some examples of high level difficulty caches that are being utilized by people to hide geocaches. I have seen some very tricky ones like this and am looking forward to possibly hiding my own caches in the future.
For most, the evolution of the geocache container begins with a sturdy great-great-great-grandfather geocache. It’s the iconic metal ammo can. But in one decade of geocaching, the geocache family tree branched off into dozens of directions.
